Database Administration

There are so many databases out there to use. We focus on certain flavors internally, but we discuss anything from the flavors of databases, to schema design principles, to coding standards, or just straight out problems. We have the most experience with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and sqLite.

Programming

Also, there are just as many database programming languages as there are makes of cars. An intersting article a few years past reports the many types of programming that exist and what their uses are. So many places talk about how one programming language is THE best, and others say "there can be only one". Have you heard that phrase before? Where have you heard it? Let us know?

OpenSource Applications

This is a great field to be a part of. The years have yielded a great number of new applications, and they are good! MODx is one of them. It's a great CMS tool. We've used Joomla and this one has been far stronger in its simplicity. But enough of that now, we don't want to start a match here and now, we'll save it for the forums.

Commercial Applications

There are some great application for purchase out there. There is a great deal of value in having a paid for application, testing has been done, formal development, support and solid backing. Now, now, OpenSource can offer these features too, but to be honest, that's what I pay for, is a raised level of confidence. Again, save it for the forums.
